President: CHEUNG, Leanne
Cheers!
I am Leanne Cheung Tsz Yu, currently a year 1 student studying at the University of Hong Kong, under the programme of the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. To begin with, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to our Honorary Advisors, Advisors and dear members for their continuous support. Without which, our Association would not have walked so far or achieved such success throughout the past 26 years.
HKOSA is an abstract idea. To me, HKOSA is a conflicting yet harmonious family. Great minds and high achievers with varied perspectives and dreams come together without showing any edge. We realize that we are here for a reason, not to compete, but to collaborate for a common goal - to ignite. Becoming President of the 27th Executive Committee of HKOSA does not only entrust me with responsibilities and duties, but also privileges me to initiate and execute my little thoughts towards our Association. I promise, on behalf of the 27th executive committee, to spare no effort in the coming year to make HKOSA a home for OSArs and Hong Kong teenagers.
“A Family We Unite, Society We Ignite”(凝傑生,獻傑心。) is our theme this year. HKOSA has transformed me in certain ways - the union of talents motivates me, the vision of serving with a humble initiative touches me, and the exchange of ideas inspires me. I am glad to be a part of this family, for I am exposed to so many fruitful experiences, including the voluntary visit to an AIDS village in Anhui and being a Organizing Committee member of ICamp 2013. These experiences shape me into the person I am today and keep me improving. In the coming year, we will work on both internal and external relationships. My top priority is to encourage the above and pass on the HKOSA spirits, so that more juniors can have a taste of this wondrous episode of life.
We execute with capabilities, and serve with our hearts. We come with passion, and strive to leave with evolution. I take pride in being an OSAr and would love to see our Association become a home for members, a platform for displaying excellence, and a pioneer in social affairs.
See you soon!

Vice President: LEE, Andrea
Greetings everyone! I am Andrea Lee, a freshman at the University of Hong Kong, studying Medicine. It is a great honour to become a member of the 27th Executive Committee of HKOSA. I must thank all the Honorary Advisors and Advisors for their guidance and support all along. I would also like to thank all OSArs for entrusting me such an important position to serve in the 27th Executive Committee.
Having joined the OSA family since high school years, I experienced love and warmth in HKOSA, met a lot of trusted friends who have been and will continue to be the significant ones in my life. My emotional attachment to HKOSA fuels my decision to dedicate myself to HKOSA this year, with the hope of extending the homey feeling HKOSA brings to even more OSArs.
“A Family We Unite, Society We ignite” ---- As a team and a family, we all endeavour to push ourselves beyond limits, bringing the OSA family together and devote ourselves in serving the community.

Internal Secretary: CHO, Tweety
Greetings to you all! I am Tweety Cho, currently a Year 1 student at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, majoring in Psychology. First of all, I would like to present my sincerest and everlasting gratitude to the Honorary Advisors, Advisors and fellow OSArs for putting trust in me. To be the Internal Secretary of the 27th Executive Committee of HKOSA is a remarkable recognition, thank you.
I have long been a HKOSA member. During these years, I have met a lot of outstanding students who have inspired me in various fields. Their existence constantly reminds me that “outstanding” is not merely academic, but extends to a much broader definition; to be outstanding, you must be all-round. Though their hard work and devotion to HKOSA have moved me time and time again, it was not until ICamp 2013 that I started to develop a strong emotional attachment to this Association. Through this external project, I saw how OSArs are not only bounded strongly between themselves, but also how they are deeply connected to others in society. I saw how OSArs influenced non-OSArs, and vice versa. This precisely embodies the diversity and tolerance that HKOSA upholds. To me, non-bounded love and care is a very rare yet extremely valuable characteristic of student associations, making me want to go the extra mile to further contribute to the Association.
With each performance, there are people who will be under the limelight, receiving recognition and applause from the audience. But for me, I am content to be one of the dedicated staff members who work behind the curtains, joyous in the thought that my effort is helping to make all the magic happen. Therefore, there is no post better than Internal Secretary, which matches my personality, while allowing me to serve HKOSA.
Having been a secretary for a student council during campaign week, my secretarial skills have been tested. I am required to keep all of my fellow colleagues updated and coordinated, as well as supporting President at all times. I also have to update our supporters and crowd source our campaign effort to them in order to increase the magnitude of our campaign. These transferable skills will prove to be a great asset to me when I serve HKOSA as Internal Secretary in the coming year. My experience with keeping everyone updated will leave no HKOSA member behind, while my ability to crowd source and bring everyone together will further strengthen the existing bonds among OSA members.
I wish you all a joyful year in the HKOSA family. See you soon!

External Secretary: CHAN,Celeste
DNA is composed of four nucleotides: TACG. Let me tell you what my TACG are. Having attended a Traditional Anglican primary school, I was brought up in a manner that exposed me to many sorts of tradition and characteristics that define a local Hong Kong student. Objective orientated and working with a tight schedule, I was trained to develop a fast and acute sense of wit. Currently studying in a Conventional German secondary school, I have begun my journey on the other side of the education spectrum. Process-oriented and interest-focused, I was taught to pace down, and reflect more critically on my being. These two arrays of cultures essentially define and mould me into who I am today.
Perhaps it is for this very reason that I have developed an interest in both humanities and science subjects, traversing the two extremely different learning spheres. Yet despite the differences, I manage to find similarities of the subjects I study, allowing me a glimpse into the inter-connectedness in the world of knowledge. I feel that it is the same scenario for local and international schools. Although blatantly dissimilar on the surface, there are in fact many educational values and good practices that are being shared in all schools. With the wish to act as the connecting bridge between international and local schools, barriers can be demolished and cultures can be shared, understood and appreciated. As the 27th HKOSA External Secretary, I hope that I can be the catalyst for changes.

Financial Secretary: TAM, Felix
Greetings everyone. I’m Felix, a Form Five student from Queen’s College. It is a great honor for me to be Financial Secretary of the 27th Executive Committee of HKOSA. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the Honorary Advisors, Advisors, past Executive Committees and my fellow OSArs, for giving me such a priceless opportunity to serve and to contribute to the Association.
As a Financial Secretary, I knew that there will be challenges and tests ahead for me to face in this term of office, especially in an extraordinary year like this year. However, just like the old saying, “You will never walk alone”, I believe in my fellow eight Executive Committee members. I believe in them that, with their keen help and support, I shall hold my head up high and without apprehension, overcome any difficulties and stride forward.
“A Family We Unite, Society We Ignite”. The theme of the year emphasizes weighing internal relations as important as external projects, so to strengthen the coherence and maintain a strong bond in the big OSA family. We, the 27th Executive Committee, are ready to devote 200% of our effort to it and bring another remarkable year for the Association.

Public Relations Officer: LOR, Gary
Greetings to you all! I am Gary Lor, a Year One student studying MBBS at the University of Hong Kong. It is a great challenge for me to be Public Relations Officer of the 27th Executive Committee of HKOSA as it is my first time to cope with public relations. However, at the same time, I am really grateful to the Honorary Advisors, Advisors and my fellow OSArs for their continuous support and care. All these enable me to overcome various hurdles in my job.
HKOSA is not only a confluence of talents. It is also a big and warm family in which members care about each other. I am not alone whenever I am in a predicament as I am certain that OSArs are standing beside me. I am striving as a member of a team but not battling alone. This feeling makes me capable of conquering myself.
In the coming year, I will spare no effort in promoting HKOSA. In the process, I would like to gather the power of the OSArs in order to fulfill our theme this year- “A Family We Unite, Society We ignite”. Through increasing the popularity of HKOSA, I hope that more students will participate in and gain valuable experiences from the activities organized by HKOSA. In addition, I hope that more talented students can join our big family and utilize their abilities to contribute to our society.
We pledge to strive for our best and do the maximum to not only HKOSA but the community as a whole. I am devoting myself to the productive and passionate 27th Executive Committee and hope all of you will enjoy the activities we organize.

Social Services Officer: TSUI, Terence
Greetings to you all! I am Terence Tsui, currently a Form 5 student studying in St. Joseph’s College. It is a great honour to be Social Service Officer of the 27th Executive Committee of HKOSA. I would like to present my deepest gratitude to the Honorary Advisors, Advisors and fellow OSArs for their support and aid, which enables me to fulfill my duty of serving the community.
HKOSA has always been a platform for outstanding students to come together and form a loving family. My previous experiences in HKOSA serving as a member of the Organizing Committee of Youth Summit 2013 and Interflow Camp 2013 have been fruitful and memorable. Those moments in HKOSA have been life-changing and unforgettable to me. Had I not been in this warm OSA family, I would not have had the opportunity to recognize my true self and find the rewarding life I have been longing for. Therefore, I have decided to dedicate 100% of myself to HKOSA in the coming year. Hopefully, other OSArs will find the same sentiment and pride as I have done so by being a member of this warm HKOSA family.
Serving the Hong Kong community has always been one of the core values of the Association. With this year’s theme ‘A Family We Unite, Society We Ignite’, the Association will continue to serve the community through diversified and innovative service plans. Despite challenges and difficulties ahead, I believe, with the generous help from Honorary Advisors, Advisors and fellow OSArs, we will overcome these barriers and strive for excellence.
Lastly, I sincerely wish everyone find all programmes organized by the 27th Executive Committee members enjoyable, feel the warmth of being in the united HKOSA family and find their true selves while igniting the lives of many others in our society. Thank you.

Internal Relations Officer: CHOI, Alfred
Aloha everyone! I am Alfred Choi, currently a Year 1 student at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, majoring in Global Economics and Finance. Being Internal Relations Officer of the 27th Executive Committee, it is my pleasure to serve HKOSA this year. In order to express my gratitude to the HKOSA spirit (love and care), I am aspired to do my utmost in strengthening the bondings between OSArs, as well as promoting HKOSA as a warm and energetic family.
It was ICamp 2011 when I first got in touch with HKOSA activities. The whole project was so impressive that made me desperately devote myself to this Association. Thanks to the concerted effort of the Organizing Committee and Executive Committee of 2011, not only did I enjoy the fun and thrills during the camp, I also treasured the true friendship built amongst my teammates. Our supportand encouragement to each other were timeless; we held countless reunion gatherings and shared our ups and downs together. I never thought that an inter-secondary schools’ association could bond students to such a close relationship but HKOSA did. That is the reason why I love HKOSA.
Motivated by my ‘Joma’ (group ambassador), I bravely enrolled into the Hong Kong Outstanding Students’ Award election in the following year. I could still remember the feeling when I fortunately entered the final round and became a member of this family. I was amazed by all-round talents and wisdom processed by OSArs I have met. At the very beginning, I felt uncertain towards my ability to adapt to this new society. However, my doubt was wiped out quickly after joining various gatherings and co-organizing different HKOSA external projects.
From studying and working, from personal affairs to social issues, every one of us is willing to stand by each other and share our constructive ideas freely at any time. This relationship is so precious not only because we ignite innovation to think out of the box, but also because we offer helping hands to whoever in need. To be frank, I am heartily moved by their enthusiasm and unconditional love, which is not easy to be found in our daily lives.
Without HKOSA activities, I would not have discovered this hospitable society for secondary students. Without OSArs’ love and support, I wouldnot have learnt so much and grown to be a mature yet energetic teenager. Deeply influenced by the HKOSA family, I am aspired to be an EXCO member, with the post of Internal Relations Officer, to show my earnest gratitude to HKOSA. From the bottom of my heart, I wish our spirit can be passed to more OSArs, as well as students who take part in our projects. We will offer them valuable opportunities to gather, to chat, and to work as a team, hoping more of them can treasure and love this intimate family.
Last but not least, may I sincerely say a big thank you to all who have worked together and granted me advice along my journey in HKOSA. They are the key elements which shape ‘me’ today. Knowing that the coming year will be demanding, I hope everyone in HKOSA could continue to support us and guide us through obstacles. After a year of challenges, whatever it would be, I sincerely hope us, the 9 EXCO members, could develop true and unbreakable friendship. Hey! Our dear OSArs and OSA friends, let’s have our fingers crossed! :D

Administrative Officer: MO, Kenneth
Greetings to you all! I am Kenneth Mo, a Secondary 5 student from St. Joseph’s College. It is truly my honour to be Administrative Officer of the 27th Executive Committee of Hong Kong Outstanding Students' Association. I am wholeheartedly grateful to the Honorary Advisors, Advisors and my fellow OSArs for giving me a chance to serve and contribute to the Association.
Hong Kong Outstanding Students’ Association is a closely-bonded family and a place where lifelong friendships are forged. People in HKOSA do not only concentrate on academics, but also enjoy the time spent together in different activities. As we can see, HKOSA is a warm family where all of us are happy to learn and experience with other OSArs or even non-OSArs. It is the enthusiasm of OSArs which impresses me, making me want to exert my effort to explore the world with OSArs in the coming year. I firmly believe that, the experience of uniting HKOSA is going to be valuable.
Our society is everchanging; generations after generations, different people become the pillars of it. The next generation will soon be the future leaders of our society, supporting our huge OSA family. While the Association has always been a place for warmhearted youths who are devoted to charity work, I hope that in the coming year, we can ignite the society with sparks in everyone's heart to serve those in need.
"A Family We Unite, Society We Ignite". I am looking forward to a fruitful year. I truly believe that the 27th Executive Committee can embrace the challenges ahead and achieve our goal!
